Message:

University of Cambridge is one of the most prominent institutions of the modern world with an unparalleled legacy of producing and nurturing philosophers, scientists and intellectuals. Coming from a humble background it was a dream come true to have studied at such an institution. This would have never happened without the generous contributions from Sardar Manmohan Singh Trust and Cambridge Trust.
Living in such an intellectually stimulating environment for a year, I studied and researched various subjects of law and humanities. I really enjoyed the courses on International Intellectual Property taught by Professor Henning Grosse Khan and International Trade law taught by Professor Lorand Bartels. I also got the opportunity to coach Cambridge’s team for the 21st edition of the WTO-ELSA Moot Court Competition. The team came runners up in the European regional round and ranked amongst the top 10 teams at the final rounds in Geneva.
I was a member of the Hughes Hall and got an opportunity to reside inside the beautiful premises of the college for a year. Hughes hall has one of the most diverse and international student cohorts and an yearlong experience of college activities was very enriching. I was also a very active member of the University Hiking club and got an opportunity to hike several mountains and national parks of the UK during my stay at Cambridge.
I am really grateful to Justice Pratibha Singh for giving me this opportunity which seems to have changed my life forever. Scholarships like this restore my faith in the fact that socio-economic barriers should not stop us from pursuing our dreams.
